Grace Lloyd![]() I am a member of the National Council of Hypnotherapy (NCH). Founded in 1973, NCH is the largest not-for-profit hypnotherapy organisation in the UK. Bound by their strict code of ethics, I specialise in Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), which contains some elements of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I trained at the internationally respected Clifton Practice in Bristol, and participate in their continuing professional development programme to keep my practice up to date. When my children were growing up I worked for many years in a demanding corporate environment. Within 10 years I worked my way up from an admin role to become a respected globe-trotting consultant with a large international firm, acting as a coach and mentor to staff and clients alike. As my children reached their late teens I decided to take my foot off the gas and go to university, as it was something I had always wanted to do. I had already been studying the sciences with the Open University for several years, so I converted my credits and attended Brunel and then Reading Universities full time for four years, obtaining a first class degree, followed by a PhD. In 2001 I became interested in the power of relaxation to aid healing and trained as a Reiki master and teacher in the Usui tradition. Clinical Hypnotherapy seemed a natural progression from this, and I trained at the Clifton Practice to obtain my qualifications as a clinical hypnotherapist and psychotherapist. Through my work I have helped people from all walks of life to achieve their potential, by harnessing the powerful ability of positive thought to make great changes in their lives. My clients’ aims range from learning to relax, banishing panic attacks or overcoming depression to getting fit, to becoming a success in business or sport, to eliminating unwanted habits, and much more.
