Massage Therapist

Member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists

I have been working in healthcare for more than 20 years, mainly as a nurse. This gave me a great interest in the effect touch has on our well-being and eventually led me to train as a holistic massage therapist. I studied in London with Quantum Metta School of Massage and, since qualifying in 2011, I have been treating a wide variety of people first in St. Joseph’s Hospital and now in the Newport Clinic of Holistic Health.

During your first treatment I wiIl make an assessment of your needs.  This includes any aches or pains you may be seeking treatment for but also considers your general lifestyle, stress, work-life balance and anything else you think is useful for me to know about you.  I use a combination of Swedish, deep tissue, seated acupressure and hands free techniques as well as dynamic angular petrissage, depending on what is most suitable for each person.  At the end of the treatment I may offer stretches or some aftercare advice which aims to enhance and sustain the effects of the massage.  Together we can agree a treatment plan to ensure you gain maximum benefit from your sessions.

It is always advisable that if you have any current health conditions, please check with your doctor prior to booking an appointment, to confirm that there are no objections to you receiving massage treatment.

As a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Annecy (Registered Charity 232835) all fees received are given directly for the support of our life and mission.
